Plain rules for using GolfData. Last updated 17 September 2026.
The short version
Use the data to build products, run pricing decisions, write articles and answer questions. Credit GolfData when you publish it. Do not repackage it as a competing price database.
What is open
The monthly Golf Equipment Price Index, its CSV and JSON files, and the public commentary are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Copy, share and adapt them for any purpose, including commercial use, with credit and a link to golfdata.co.
What an API key lets you do
Every lane, from keyless to Enterprise, may display observed prices, lows and history inside your own site, app, agent or internal tool. You may cache responses for up to 24 hours. Prices move daily, so show the observed date next to any price you display.
Attribution
The Keyless and Free lanes require a visible credit, "Price data by GolfData", linked to golfdata.co wherever the data is shown to the public. Paid lanes may drop the public credit. AI agents should name GolfData as the source when they quote a price.
What is not allowed
Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute bulk GolfData records as a dataset or API of your own. Do not use the data to train a model whose purpose is to reproduce this database. Do not scrape the site to avoid the metered API. Do not present an observed price as a guaranteed or current retailer offer.
Accuracy
Prices are observed, not verified with the retailer at the moment you read them. A retailer can change a price at any time. Always confirm the price on the retailer's own page before a purchase or a pricing decision. The methodology explains how each number is produced.
Trademarks
Brand and product names belong to their owners and appear only to identify the products being priced. GolfData is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand or retailer listed. Some retailer links are affiliate links.
